ANZAC Day is a special time each year to reflect on the sacrifice of our wonderful servicemen and mown, past and present. Students participated in a number of activities throughout the week to learn about ANZAC Day and its significance.
We also held a school assembly on Friday 23 April run by our SRC Student Leaders to lay a wreath created by the students and observe a one-minute silence.
In the classroom, there was artwork created and creative writing about what ANZAC Day means to us and to finish the week our school was part of the community march on Sunday here in Deloraine. We had over 60 students and teachers participate in the marching and laying of a wreath on behalf of the school, an amazing turnout.
We also noticed many of our students past and present marching with their local sporting groups, community groups, and playing in the band. It was great to see our students showing such respect and pride for our community.
