Classes across the school have been celebrating the Olympics in their learning, art, and physical activities. We’re excited to share some photos and a video with you.
Kinder has been learning about the Olympics and what it means to represent your country in your chosen sport. They watched some of the swimming races together including one of Ariarne Titmus’s gold medal-winning races. They then created artworks inspired by this event.
1-2B Hall used inquiry questions to learn more about the Olympics and had the incredible opportunity to chat with Daniel Geale, former Australian Olympic boxer. They learnt so much from their conversation about perseverance, hard work, and staying cool when things get tough.
Finally, we rounded off our week with an amazing Mini Olympics planned and organised by the SRC with the support of the Aussie Sports Leaders.
Students from Kinder to Grade 6 participated in activities throughout the day and had a wonderful time! It was so fun to see the smiles and laughs from the students as they got involved and gave each activity their best.
Well done to our student leaders, it certainly was a day to remember.
