Deloraine Primary School is located in the beautiful Meander Valley and boasts expansive landscaped grounds and facilities to engage our 290 students. We have a strong emphasis on supporting families from early learning (birth to 3 years), Kindergarten to Grade 6 and transitioning through to our local adjacent high school.

Student achievement, engagement and well-being are central to our teaching and learning. We have high expectations and a belief that all learners will experience personal success. Our school community provides learning opportunities to encourage our young people to be self-motivated and responsible for their own learning pathway.

We have an inquiry-based approach across the school providing rich experiences through investigations.
Our school provides a selection of programs to develop individual talents and interests such as:

  • Health and Physical Education, with onsite Learn to Swim and a range of sporting experiences.
  • Music and Drama, including instrumental band, choir, and participation in the annual local Drama Festival.
  • ICT, to develop digital literacy, hands-on robotics and coding skills with an emphasis on cybersafe behaviours.
  • Environmental Science, developing a school community garden and learning about the care and wellbeing of animals.

The well-being of students is supported and nurtured through the diligent care of our staff and support personnel.  Student voice is valued and included in decision making, contributing to the journey of improvement throughout our school community. We actively support and promote the Department wide values of Connection, Courage, Growth, Respect and Responsibility.

Deloraine Primary School provides a welcoming culture for families where we value relationships and strive to engage all families in the learning process.

Our commitment is to foster curious, creative, reflective thinkers, in a caring, safe, and engaging environment, who will make meaningful contributions to our 21st Century world.
