2019 has been a busy and exciting year at Deloraine Primary School with great achievements both in and out of the classroom.

Last week we celebrated these achievements in our annual Presentation Evening. Many students were presented with awards acknowledging them for their commitment to our school values and expectations. Students were also awarded for their academic, musical and sporting excellence.

We also celebrated this year’s Grade 6 cohort and wish them all the very best for High School next year. Our Principal, Julie Pike shared these words with our leaving students

“To our young adults who are celebrating their final year at primary school, our grade 6 leavers, on behalf of everyone who has contributed to your learning journey here at Deloraine Primary we thank you for your contribution and hope that you pursue your skills and talents throughout the remainder of your schooling and into the future. We look forward to hearing about your ongoing success. For some of our families this is an end of an era as they see their youngest child complete their primary education. We thank you for your participation over many years.”

We’ve put together a short video with some of the highlights of the night

Our final assembly was held on Thursday 19 December and was another celebration of the great achievements by many of our students during this past term.

Recycling and caring for our environment has been a focus our this years SRC and they were able to announce the winners for our Waste Free Lunch Box competition held during Term 4. The winning students received Bento Boxes and all students were encouraged to continue to reduce plastic waste within our school environment.

Our new SRC Executive and sports House Captains were announced and we look forward to seeing the leadership and mentoring work they will be involved with in 2020.
